I don’t like how they’re shoved in my face and tumblr, it’s a little annoying but I’m used to it. When their first mini-album came out, everyone was freaking out over it. I wanted to give them a chance, so I checked it out. In my opinion, it was good. But that’s it. It wasn’t fantastic or anything (not like I was expecting it to), but because of all the hype, I expected something a bit more. It’s not like I don’t like the music, I really do. It’s really catchy and stuff, but I hope their next album will be really eye-opening and amazing, because I don’t want to like EXO because of their (very attractive) faces, I want to like them because of their music and because they have a distinct sound, something so distinct that when you hear it, you go “Oh, that’s EXO.” I don’t think EXO has a very distinct sound yet (What Is Love and History still remind me of DBSK and Machine reminds me of SHINee for whatever reason). Don’t get me wrong, I like EXO so far, they’re really talented and all but I think it’ll take some more time (and songs) for me to become a fan of them.
